Carina Molina
Nacida en 1964 en Buenos Aires, Argentina
Carina comenzó su camino artístico desde niña jugando y disfrutando sin advertir que aquello sería el principio de algo que le brindaría tanta alegría, increíbles experiencias e incluso un reconocimiento que jamás se hubiera imaginado. Desde entonces, ha explorado continuamente su pasión por el arte incurriendo en una variedad de medios. Creó diseños de joyería con piedras semipreciosas durante un viaje de un año por Brasil, creo esculturas en papel maché, collage, decoupage y diferentes técnicas mixtas con acrílicos sobre lienzo y madera, por mencionar algunas.
Residió los últimos 22 años en Aruba con su marido y su hija. Allí fue empresaria, dirigió una fundación para artesanos y formo parte de la comunidad de artista.
Innovadora y entusiasta, asocio su creatividad con su mentalidad consciente del medio ambiente y engendró Upcycled Designs. Una línea 100% hecha a mano, donde dio vida a una colección de accesorios, reciclando las cámaras desechadas de autos y bicicletas, suelas de zapatillas descartadas, burletes, etc. Bolsos, cinturones y bijouterie, con una elegante base negra donde su creatividad y complementos hicieron que cada pieza fuera única y marcara tendencia.
Carina tiene diferentes aspectos en su vida, tales como ser Psicologa, meditadora, entrenadora de Chi Gong, entrepreneur y artista y esta comprometida a seguir explorando todos los aspectos de su personalidad, incluso aquellos que aún no ha descubierto.

Cuando se le pregunta por su proceso creativo, dice que en cuanto encuentra “esa” idea, sentimiento, pensamiento o incluso una textura que motiva la próxima obra, se deja llevar con la esperanza de alcanzar “ese” estado único de ser donde el Chi fluye, el tiempo se detiene y ella es feliz. Sus obras son tan variadas como su personalidad por lo que no se la puede encuadrar en un estilo único; juega con sensuales desnudos femeninos, como con el arte abstracto y crea en blanco y negros de color, al igual que coquetea con toda la gama de colores.

Carina learned her first artists’ skills playing and enjoying, without realizing that it was the beginning of something that was going to provide her with so much joy, great experiences and even recognition she never thought of.
Since then, she has continuously explored her passion for art incurring in a variety of mediums. She created jewelry designs with semi-precious stones during a 1-year trip to Brazil, sculptures in paper mâché, collage, découpage and different mixed techniques with acrylic on canvas and wood, just to name a few.
She resided in Aruba for the last 22 years with her husband and her daughter. There she was an entrepreneur, leaded a foundation for artisans on the island and was part of the artistic community.
Enthusiastic innovator, she combined her creativity with her environmentally conscious mindset and engendered Upcycled Designs. A 100% handmade line, where she gave life to a line of accessories, recycling the inner tubes of discarded cars’ and bicycles’ tires, old sneakers, weather-strips, etc. Handbags, belts, jewelry with an elegant black base where her creativity and add-ons turn each piece into a unique wearable one that set trend.
She has different aspects in her personality such as being a Psychologist, a meditator, a Chi Gong trainer, entrepreneur and artist and she is committed to continue to explore all aspects of her personality even those she hasn’t yet discovered.
When asked about her creative process, she says that when she finds that idea, feeling, thought or even a texture that motivates the next piece of art, she let go in the hope she reaches that unique state of being where the Chi (energy) flows, time stops, and she is happy. Her art is as wide as her personality reason why she cannot be framed in a single style; she plays with sensual female nudes, as she does with abstract art; and creates black and white, just as she flirts with the full range of colors.
